THE BIG CHRIS BARBER BAND - Europe's finest Traditional Jazz and Blues Band
The Big Chris Barber Band starts the 2008/2009 season with a new lease of life. Recent replacements in the Band give them a new challenge and as always new opportunities. Pat Halcox's retirement has of course caused a serious search for a replacement trumpeter who knows their music and plays really well. Trumpeter Peter Rudeforth has like some other musicians of his generation always wanted the opportunity to play with the band, as has Zoltan Sagi, the new baritone sax/alto sax/clarinet man. So Chris and the band look forward to great enthusiasm from them, not to mention their other recent new man, trombonist John Service, who even has a collection of virtually everything they have recorded through all these years!
